Making The Most Of Tuition Schools...

Got this from a mag... quite useful.

1) Focus on the areas where your child needs help. "Children should only attend tuition if they genuinely need it." In other words, only go to tuition when they are unable to keep up with their regular classes.

2) Avoid tuition that accelerates studies beyond their classroom studies. They may end up bored with their schoolwork.

3) look for tuition centre that offer personalised attention from tutors who can understand your child's specific needs, identify any problems and help him learn at his own pace.

4) Talk to the principal or teachers to assess if their philosophy and values are aligned with yours.

5) Speak with other parents and children at the centre to find out how they feel about the centre. A good centre is one that pupils look forward to attending.

6) Don't fall into the trap of believing that academic excellence is all about studying hard. Happy, well-balanced children whose parents are engage in their lives are much more likely to develop a love of learning.

5 Simple Rules to a Beautiful Tummy

A quick and convenient way to flaten your tummy...

1) Lie on the floor with your legs bent, your feet flat on the floor.

2) Place your hands on the back of your head, or cross them over your chest like an Egyptian Mummy.

3) Lift your shoulderblades off the ground, moving your elbows towards your knees. Don't try to lift your entire back - just your shoulderblades.

4) Squeeze your abs for a second.

5) Slowly return to the starting position. Remember to breathe out when raising your body up, and breathe in on the way down.

Good luck... Must at least do it for 3 months straight religiously for max result.

Britney Spears' New Love

Yes... she's reportedly has a new boyfriend. The singer made her first formal public appearance in months at a birthday bash in Los Angeles on Saturday (24.05.08), accompanied by Jason Trewick. According to sources, they have known each other "for years".

The new romance has even received blessing from Jamie, Britney's father, who sees him as a "stabilising influence".

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Jamie thinks Jason would be a great match for Britney. "She always had a thing for bad boys but now she realises good guys can be attractive, too." ...way to go Jamie.

I hope everything works well for her this time... (I hope K is watching...)

Thought for the day...

Map out your next work day...

Before you leave, prioritise your next day. Plan important tasks for the morning so you won't buy yourself a late night.

Pedra Branca

HEY!!!! We won.... Pedra Branca goes to us (SINGAPORE)!!!

ok for those who doesn't know we were in a long-standing dispute with Malaysia over 3 tiny (very tiny) island over the coast off Malaysia. Pedra Branca, Middle Rocks and South Ledge are their names. The core of the dispute was who Pedra Branca belongs to... say it with Pedra Branca... sound so exotic, feeling very Spanish right now.

Ok ok... the story goes (according to history) Pedra Branca belongs to us since the 1800s but in 1979 Malaysia said hey "Its ours!" (this was aftersome 150 years later.... totally doesn't make sense rite). Well all I can say hey too bad man...

Nevertheless, Malaysia didn't go home empty handed they got Middle Rocks, which consist of some rocks that are permanently formed above water (not a total lost I should say... hey man a bunch of rocks are better then nothing... rite. HEHEHEHE).
